Visa Information:A visa is required for entry by all visitors
travelling to Kenya with the exception of those who fall under the
following categories:
- (i) Holders of re-entry passes to Kenya;
- (ii) Citizens of those countries with which Kenya has a
reciprocal visa abolition Agreement;
Germany, Finland, Italy,
Norway, Ethiopia, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Turkey & Uruquay.
- (iii) Holders of United Nations Laissez Passez on official
duty.
- (iv) Holders of a Visitors Pass.
(*) VISITORS PASS:A Visitors Pass is issued gratis at the
port of entry valid up to a period of three months and subject to
possession of an onward/return air ticket. |
As of June 1999, US Citizens DO NOT need a
Visa to enter Kenya for visits not exceeding thrity days !
US Visa Applicants may obtain visa upon their arrival to Kenya at the
port of entry.
When applying for a visa through our Embassy, send us the following:
- A visa application form duly completed and signed by the applicant.
- Two recent passport size photographs. Please attach the photographs
to the downloaded visa
application
- A valid US passport with sufficient number of unused pages for
endorsements abroad. Passport must be signed and valid for at least six
months beyond completion of travel - To be submitted with the visa
application.
- A valid round trip ticket or a letter from your travel agent
certifying that the applicant holds a prepaid arrangements is required.
- Please allow approximately three to four working days for visa
processing.
- Send a self-addressed stamped envelop for certified, registered or
express mail for mailing your passport back to you. Metered stamps are
not acceptable.
- Your telephone number should we need to get in touch with you
urgently.
More information
- Visas are issued within three working days from the date of
application
- Multiple Entry Visas are normally issued for a period of Six or
Twelve months.
- Immunization againts Yellow Fever and Cholera are recommended
- Anti-Malaria Pills Should be taken particularly if the
visitors will be travelling to the Western and Coastal regions of Kenya
- A licence for pets is required. The visa office will help you if you
need one.
